Quick Lighting Scene Setup
This image was design in Maya render using Maya software and Procedures
Floor Texturing- normal Mapped into the color of a Material
Shader and Maya 3d texture Granite texture into the Bump Map
attribute. Wall Texturing, normal mapped with use of a file Texture and a 3d Bump.
An extra 2d Bump Utilities were link on to the 3d Bump Map through
the connection editor from the out normal of the 2d Bump to the normal camera
of the 3d Bump map. Which linked a 2d and 3d texture into the Bump value of
both the 2d and 3d Bump this is called a Bump on a Bump.
Scroll on the wall was done using them as projection method, I use Maya Layer
Shader which I can add as much image on the layer Shader attribute, then map
those images into the image attribute of the projection while using
interactive placement to fit them on a piece of geometry
This is why there is more than one writer on the image scroll. The Pillar was a normal mapped image with raytrace added, blinn Material attribute Refraction Limited to 6, Light
Absorbed to 0, Surface Thickness 0, Shadow Attenuation .5, Reflection Limited
1, and the Reflection Secularity 1. Also, apply Special Effect a little bit of Glow
Intensity in the scene.
The Background image was mapped onto a geometry, and Lighting was done using a Maya Spotlight and ambient light. The use of 3 spot for outside and 2 ambient light for inside, with Light Effect attribute Light Fog. The Fog Spread, Fog Intensity, Color, and Density, and Depth Map Shadow on all 3
spotlight for the shadow in the scene. Both ambient light I only used the Color
attribute to gave that green look to the scene.
